Process flow

Raw air comes from air, goes through an air filter to remove dust and other mechanical particles, and then enters a non-lubricated air compressor, where it is compressed to about 0.65MPa(g) by a two-stage compressor. After passing through the cooler, it enters the pre-cooling device and cools to 5~10℃. Then switch to MS purifier to remove moisture, CO2, hydrocarbons. The purifier consists of two containers filled with molecular sieves. One is in use, while the anthers are being regenerated by waste nitrogen from the cold box and heated by heaters.

 

After purification, a small part is used as carrier gas for the turboexpander, and the rest goes to the cold box, where it is cooled by reflux (pure oxygen, pure nitrogen and waste nitrogen) in the main heat exchanger. Part of the air is extracted from the middle of the main heat exchanger and enters the expansion turbine for cooling. Most of the expanded air passes through the subcooler, which is cooled by the oxygen in the upper tower and sent to the upper tower. A small part directly enters the waste nitrogen pipe through the bypass, and then heats it out of the cold box. Another portion of the air continues to be cooled to near liquid air to lower the column.

 

In the lower tower air, the air is separated and liquefied into liquid nitrogen and liquid air. Part of liquid nitrogen extracted from the top of the lower column. The liquid air after subcooling and throttling is transported to the middle of the upper tower as a reflux.

 

The product oxygen is extracted from the lower part of the upper tower, reheated by the expansion air subcooler, and the main heat exchange is performed. Then it is transmitted and dequeued. The waste nitrogen is drawn out from the upper part of the upper tower, reheated in the subcooler and the main heat exchanger, and then exits the tower. A portion is used as regeneration gas for the MS purifier. Pure nitrogen is extracted from the top of the upper tower, reheated in liquid air, liquid nitrogen subcooler and main heat exchanger, and sent out of the tower.

 

The oxygen from the distillation column is compressed to the customer.
