PSA technology is a simple and reliable nitrogen separation process by adsorbing oxygen on a compact carbon molecular sieve column to form compressed air.

The "treated" atmospheric compressed air enters the adsorption tower, where it is contacted with carbon molecular sieves, which bind oxygen molecules and allow nitrogen gas to pass through the void spaces. Pure nitrogen stream product delivery operation, once the oxygen capture capacity in the bed is reduced, the feed is switched to the new adsorption column and the old bed is regenerated by rapid decompression in preparation for the next cycle.

The PSA nitrogen system consists of four main operations:

The nitrogen generator based on PSA technology consists of 2 absorption towers filled with carbon molecular sieves (CMS). As the pre-filtered and compressed air passes through an adsorber, oxygen is adsorbed on the CMS and nitrogen is discharged as product gas. Exhaust gases (oxygen, CO2, etc.) are vented back to the atmosphere through a muffler. During adsorption in one column, the second column is regenerated by depressurizing to atmospheric pressure. This ensures a constant supply of nitrogen to your process.
