The basic requirements for the selection of gas storage tanks are:
1. The volume specification of the air storage tank should be selected between 10% and 20% of the displacement (gas production) of the air compressor, preferably 15%. When the gas consumption is large or the gas consumption fluctuates greatly, the volume of the gas storage tank should be appropriately increased to 20%; otherwise, it can be lower than 15%, but not lower than 10%.
2. In the installed air compressor system, the air storage tank is generally installed after the aftercooler of the air compressor. This avoids the accumulation of oil vapor and liquid water, reduces safety hazards and improves the efficiency of other equipment, making the air entering the air tank cooler and smaller.
3. For the installation of supporting equipment, the air storage tank is installed before the refrigerated dryer in most cases, so that the use of the air storage tank can reduce the load of the dryer by using its cooling dehydration and pressure stabilizing functions, and the air pressure is relatively stable, which is conducive to drying machine operation.
4. For the installation of supporting equipment, the main pipeline filter is installed after the gas storage tank. This is beneficial to the air tank to cool down to precipitate and remove more moisture, oil gas, dust impurities and other dirt in the compressed air, and then enter the air filter to make it run and use, which has the advantage of prolonging its service life.
